Hendon Times (May 17 2007) "Statler and Waldorf's teasing and smartly-worded jibes are sure to rub some people up the wrong way far more than the elected members' efforts."
We're not embarrased to admit that amongst us are people who have a history of service but at a time when what Councillors decided matters and at a time when we weren't paid inflated salaries and rolled up once a fortnight to sit, in silence, at a meeting and do as we are told.
Some remember the good old days of the Urban District Councils.
Much hunch is that it sounds to me like you are very good at Spin, and are probably paid very well to Spin, Spin, Spin. You should go work for Tony Blair.
All this Spin is too new fangled to us. We just say it as it is, and as your replies suggest, seem to be rattling a few cages.
Dear Statler & Waldorf,
ReplyDeleteI find it a little odd how your website was registered on the 26th April but you have posts on here dating back to 20th March.
Maybe you are the ones making things up?

Dear Anonymous Sir / Madam,
ReplyDeleteThank you for somewhat anally rententive comment.
We are sure readers will be thrilled by it, although it is technically incorrect.
The blog has been running longer than the website. Sorry to spoil your fun!
Tally Ho!
Statler & Waldorf
Spin, Spin, Spin ... you sound like an ex local councillor yourself.
